[link] <- is a more honest shot if you wanna see it.
i know this isn't a very good photo... i don't want to submit a scanned image of this because my scanner makes it look so different from what it really looks like. the earlier submission of this [link] would have been fine for me but i am re-submitting a cropped version so that i may be able to submit it to groups that want art that are cropped and neat.
this started out as an experiment. i wanted to try a different kind of paper, just something far from the regular computer paper i use for drawing (seriously) x_x which tears miserably under pencil abuse. so i used what we call here cartolina paper. i don't know what it's called when you're from but it's a smooth kind of paper... it's near to construction paper but somehow thicker and more durable. being an amateur, i have never tried bristol paper or anything that professional artists use for graphite drawing but i imagine this kind of paper isn't so bad. the only problem with it is that indented pencil marks will haunt you... i don't know if bristol paper also behaves that way, please let me know. also i'm not sure if this is acid-free. i do hope it won't yellow-up in the future.
anyway it turned out pretty nice and endured my pencil work! despite going crazy, i enjoyed drawing this a lot.
